Northern United: David Palu
Former Tongan international was a key cog in Northern United's Swindale Shield success in 2011.
Palu was Tonga's halfback at the 2003 RWC, and was re-selected for their 2007 campaign but had to withdraw for personal reasons. He's played 13 internationals for Tonga.
Palu has represented Wellington, Manawatu and Horowhenua-Kapiti as well as English club Plymouth Albion and Spanish club Centransa El Salvador. He helped the latter win the Spanish Premiership title in the 2009/10 northern season.
Palu is a former student at Wellington College, and is the brother of Tomasi Palu
